Control access to your meeting recordings

Understanding Publish Status

Recording publish status controls who can access the recording playback:

Published
Recording is accessible to anyone with the playback link. The recording appears in getRecordings API responses and can be embedded or shared.
Published
Unpublished
Recording is hidden from public access. Existing playback links will show "Recording not available". Only administrators can view the recording.

How to Publish a Recording

  1. Go to Recordings in the main menu
  2. Find the recording you want to publish
  3. Click the (more options) button
  4. Select Publish
  5. Confirm the action in the dialog
Publish Recording?
This will make "Q4 Sales Review" accessible to anyone with the playback link. The recording will appear in API responses.

How to Unpublish a Recording

  1. Go to Recordings in the main menu
  2. Find the published recording
  3. Click the (more options) button
  4. Select Unpublish
  5. Confirm the action
Unpublish Recording?
This will hide "Q4 Sales Review" from public access. Anyone with the existing playback link will see "Recording not available".

Bulk Actions

You can publish or unpublish multiple recordings at once:

  1. Select recordings using the checkboxes
  2. Click Bulk Actions in the toolbar
  3. Choose Publish Selected or Unpublish Selected
  4. Confirm the bulk action

Important Notes

  • Publishing/unpublishing is instant but may take a few seconds to propagate
  • Unpublished recordings still count toward your storage quota
  • Only users with recording management permissions can change publish status
  • The action is logged in the audit trail
