Managing Notification Preferences

Customize when and how you receive alerts

Personal Notification Settings

Each team member can customize their notification preferences. Navigate to Profile → Notification Preferences to access your settings.

Quiet Hours

Configure periods when non-critical notifications are silenced:

During quiet hours, only critical alerts will be delivered. Other notifications will be batched and sent when quiet hours end.

🚨 Critical Alerts Override

Critical severity alerts will always be delivered immediately, even during quiet hours. This ensures you never miss urgent issues.

Channel Preferences by Severity

Configure which channels receive which severity levels:

Digest Settings

Configure how multiple alerts are bundled together:

  • Immediate: Each alert sent separately as it occurs
  • 5-minute digest: Bundle alerts within 5-minute windows
  • Hourly digest: Single summary email per hour
  • Daily digest: Summary of all non-critical alerts once per day

Escalation Settings

Configure what happens if an alert isn't acknowledged:

  1. Initial alert: Sent via configured channels
  2. First escalation (15 min): Re-send via additional channel (e.g., SMS)
  3. Second escalation (30 min): Notify backup contact or on-call
  4. Final escalation (1 hour): Notify manager or team lead
