Pre-built policies for common scenarios

Using Policy Templates

Templates provide pre-configured remediation policies for common scenarios. Navigate to Automation → Remediation → Templates to browse and deploy templates.

Recommended
High CPU Recovery
Automatically cordon and restart services when CPU exceeds 90% for 10+ minutes.
Trigger: CPU > 90% Cooldown: 1h
Recommended
Memory Pressure Relief
Gracefully drain and restart server when memory usage hits 95%.
Trigger: Memory > 95% Cooldown: 2h
Disk Cleanup
Clean up temp files and old logs when disk usage exceeds 85%.
Trigger: Disk > 85% Cooldown: 6h

Service Health Check
Restart failed BBB services (freeswitch, kurento, bbb-web) automatically.
Trigger: Service Down Cooldown: 15m

Recording Backlog Handler
Scale recording processing or pause new recordings when queue exceeds 100.
Trigger: Queue > 100 Cooldown: 30m

Network Issue Recovery
Run network diagnostics and restart network services on connection failures.
Trigger: Offline Cooldown: 30m

Deploying a Template

  1. Click Deploy Template on your chosen template
  2. Review and customize the default settings
  3. Select which servers the policy applies to
  4. Adjust thresholds if needed for your environment
  5. Click Create & Enable to activate

Customizing Templates

After deploying a template, you can:

  • Adjust trigger thresholds
  • Modify the action sequence
  • Change cooldown periods
  • Add or remove notification channels
  • Enable/disable approval mode
